laurie n. taylor : about
I'm the digital projects librarian in the University of Florida's Digital Library Center, where we digitize materials for preservation and create innovative projects using those digital materials. In my overall research and work, I'm interested in issues of space and context, whether that means the textual space of a particular work (book, game, comic), the space represented by that work, or the space understood in terms of context and connection. For instance, my dissertation focused on the Gothic in games--examining the game spaces and narratives, connecting them to the broader context of the history of the Gothic--and now I'm working with archival and new materials, reconfiguring them digitally in context with each other and different interface options.
