"Forum" topic to which you may respond. Each response should be approximately half a page (200 words) or so. Your total writing on this assignment should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-7 pages. Your overall grade on this category will depend upon the total number of points you've earned (and you may earn as many as 150 points); however, you must respond to a minimum of 9 prompts, in order to satisfy Gordon Rule minimums and pass the course.
Each response may earn the maximum of 10 points IF it is posted within the assigned week and IF it is more-or-less understandable, thoughtful, courteous, pertinent to the topic, and not TOO full of BS. Deadline for each week's posting is Monday night at 11:59 p.m. ET. (Late postings MAY qualify for reduced points.)
Reply to a classmate's Discussion Board posting and gain an additional 5 points each week IF posted within the time allowed, thoughtful, and relevant to the topic. No minimum length, but no points given if your reply is woefully inadequate. Post your replies as early as possible, but you are still eligible for the maximum points if you reply within the week following the deadline for the original responses. (That is, you get an extra week to reply to your classmates' postings.) No credit for replies posted later than that. Maximum credit is limited to 15 points for each weekly forum (including both your own response to the forum and replies to classmates) and overall maximum for Discussion Board is 150 points.
