- She was very into what she was teaching. Very open to suggestions
from class.

- Very enthusiastic and positive

- I enjoyed this class a lot. It was kind of a relief from the other
classes since it was so different. Every day was exciting and interesting
in its own way.

- I like the movies and reading the web pages. Also the comics are a
cool idea, but I wish it was something newer.

- She gives options on things. The instructor is open minded to suggestions
and explains things thoroughly
- In class participation with understanding home reading, grammar, and
essays due.
- It's a great way to learn college level English.
- I really enjoyed reading things like the cate [couldn't read handwriting]
and watching baroo [Baraka]. It's things that I expect from a social
science class but we see the text, arguments, and concepts of English
in it.

- She helped by being there to help at any time whether it is office
hours or through email. She makes you want to learn and want to do the
homework because of her caring attitude.

- It would normally be boring, but the materials we used were different
than the norm so it made the class more interesting.

- Laurie explains a lot and gives a variety of ideas so we can better
understand what to do in class.
- Se does not get the class involved enough.
- The class was very interesting, The books and movies that were chosen
were good. I didn't care too much for the structure of argument though.

to help is at any time; most importantly, when we email her she makes
sure to email us back asap.

- I think that she is very creative and combines her ideas along with
the curriculum very well. She is very enthusiastic which helps motivate
the class.
- NO, I don't think so. I think that maybe we could have talked more
about the homework, but at 8:30am it's hard to participate.
- I thought it was very different and interesting. It was like nothing
I've had before and I really enjoyed it.

- She is laid back, which helps with pressure and very informative.
With papers, she gves lots of examples. Never turns down an idea completely,
but suggests changes so it will fit into class
- English is not my best subject, but because of the different teaching
style and material, it was interesting to me. I've learned to think
about what I read or see, not just do it.

- She was very enthusiastic about the assignments. She taught unique
way express plenty of originality.
- I enjoyed this course, working off a website was fun.
- Laurie is not boring, her teaching style may be unorthadoxed, but
very interesting and effective.

- I enjoyed working on the web and posting my essays up on the web.
- Reading material using different sources was a good idea. It was well-worth
it and gained experience from it.
- I though the anime was kind of disturbing and the Aphex Twin video
could be substituted with another video. But other than that it was
great.

so that we all understand. If any of us need help she will help us.
