  1. Her enthusiasm for all the topics we discuss and engage in. She's very helpful with the computers and knows what she's doing.

  3. I never used to like English, but thanks to Laurie, I like English now. She has taught me that there is more to English than just the classics we read in high school. The material that we read are not long, boring books, but instead interesting pieces and videos.
  4. I enjoy listening to Laurie talk about certain subjects - she's a very smart person. She has different opinions than the average high school teacher.

  2. Overall interesting class. It made me think, gain different perspective; I'm now more open minded than before. I liked coming to class every day, which is unusual.

  3. A webpage design should be required for all ENC 1101 classes. In addition to the readings assigned, the daily use of our computers was an integral part of learning this summer.
  4. I am going to miss this class and would take it over and over if I could. What an experience!! * Laurie Taylor is #1.

  3. My opinion is that this course was both fun and challenging with more interactive discussions and deadlines with specific requirements for papers, this class allowed for self-discipline and creativity.
  4. She is a very effective teacher in that she is very approachable and down to earth.

  1. Her creativity involved in the project assignments and the readings helped me think about English and literature in a different way. She always explained little details throughout her lectures which I otherwise could not understand.

  3. I think this course was good beacuse it forced me to write well written argumentative essays. I have always hated English, but this course was interesting to me because of the cretaive topics we talked about.
  4. I am glad I took this English class because I otherwise would have never learned how to make my own website.

  3. The book Quick Access is a good book for this course because covers grammar, citation, information that aids in the improvement of writing skills.

  1. Class discussions on various issues and subjects helped me to understand more about what was expected of me on assignments and they helped to answer any of my questions.
  2. No, I particularly liked using a discussion method so the teacher and classmates can interact their opinions and learn something from each other.
  3. I liked the materials we were asked to read and I liked in class and out of class assignments.
  4. I think Laurie has an awesome personality and is a great teacher. She cares about her students and works with them in order to help them succeed.

  3. I enjoy this course because of the fact that it's different from my traditional highschool English classes, including the printed materials which makes it more interesting.

  1. The instructor is young so she relates to the students vey well. She is interested in a lot of the same things as us, so it makes class interesting and fun. I feel that it is easy to communicate with her and she is also funny.

  3. The course overall is very laid back, but we still have to complete the papers. The grammar book is helpful but I don't like Structure of Argument.
  4. I am enjoying this class very much mainly because of the instructor. It is a great class as an introduction to college and UF.
