  2. First-year Florida has too many assignments to be only a one-credit course.
    First-year Florida book was not extremely helpful or useful.
  3. Laurie is a wonderful instructor!

  1. Laurie is very caring and compassionate. She is always willing to go the extra mile to help out a student, and she really knows her stuff! She's always excited and enthusiastic which makes you want to be excited too.

  3. It is a great class to have under your belt as a freshman because it gives students info on a lot of resources on campus.

  3. This class is good, but I think we did to much for it to be work 1 credit. For the amount of work we have done this course should be a two or three credit class.
  4. Our Peer mentor, Taylor [Evan, name is transposed] contributed a lot to this class. He is an excelent teacher. With both teachers combine this was an amazing class

  1. Laurie is very enthusiastic and makes every class fun with her high energy. Evan was alos very helpful, he was there to answer any questions I had and wanted to make the course fun.

  3. The course requires a lot more work than expected, with writing assignments, events on campus, and projects. It really should have been a 3 credit course or the course load should be reduced.

  1. Laurie us a very enthusiastic person who sincerly cares about her students. Very approachable as well, able to answer my questions.
  2. While I dont mind working hard for my grade, I feel that this was too much work for students to only recieve one credit. Also, the required nighttime activities such as movie night and the diversity project were good ideas, but asked students to walk through campus by themselves at night which isn't safe.
  3. Evan was a good peer leader as well, able to reach him via email whenever needed.

  1. Laurie is always happy. You can walk into a room and just smile at the site of her aperance. She makes you want to participate in the activities and allows room for help with any assignment.
  2. She did more than an excellent job. She provided us with not only the materials given to her (if any) yet went out of her way to give us extra materials. She is easy to comprehend and wonderful with students.
  3. Laurie Taylor is a wonderful teacher. Her joy rubs on you allowing yoru day to be better. She assesed us in every way possible for this class and provided me with information that would help me. Her assistance Evan Lauteri was right next to her every step and he was phenomal also. He was always jumpy and helpful in every issue. They were perfect partners.
